Design
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 was initially more expensive than the previous model, the Xiaomi Redmi 9. At the same time, it strives to improve in almost every aspect. In terms of design, Xiaomi has changed things up so that we no longer have that obvious look from a year ago. The back and frame are still made of plastic, but this time they’re smooth rather than textured. The camera bump has grown in size and sophistication. In place of a notch, the front has a punch hole for the selfie camera.
Display
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1080P resolution, which we can’t help but compare to the Redmi 9 from last year. This time around, the aspect ratio was slightly higher, and the display has a fast 90 Hertz refresh rate
Performance
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 now runs on a 12-nanometer MediaTek Helio G88 chipset. Its CPU and GPU clock speeds are slightly faster than those of the Helio G80. Overall, the performance is comparable to what we saw with the Redmi 9 last year – adequate for the price, but nothing special. Day-to-day operations go smoothly. The high refresh rate and streamlined UI keep things mostly smooth.
A large 5,000 mAh battery powers this phone, which has a 127-hour endurance rating. This is satisfactory, though it lags behind other mid-range and low-cost phones with the same battery capacity. The phone comes with an 18-watt charger, and as you might expect, charging this large battery takes some time.
Platform
The Redmi10 has onboard storage options of 64 or 128 gigabytes. It is also expandable via micro SD. The user interface is MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android. 11.There is support for an app drawer, which categorizes your apps.
Swiping from the left corner brings up your notifications, while swiping from the right brings up your quick toggle settings.
That’s what iOS does. Xiaomi is, indeed, that daring. If you’ve used Samsung OneUI before, you’ll notice some similarities, particularly in the settings. In any case, you also get features such as an IR blaster, which allows you to use your phone as a remote control. You also get FM radio support.
