Camera

The 50MP, PDAF camera on the back of this device is a standout feature of the Tecno Spark 8P. It produces good-looking images, especially when the lighting is good. It is bright and colorful, and the dynamic range is adequate for a device in its class. The images produced by this camera are detailed and saturated. The selfie camera is also quite good. You’ll also appreciate how the 8 megapixel still manages to retain some details, even if they appear too soft when zoomed in. Color reproduction is also something to consider. The Spark 8P can also record videos at 1080p@30fps.

Performance

The Mediatek MT6762D Helio P22 or Mediatek MT6769V Helio G70 chipset is found in the Tecno Spark 8P. At best, this is an entry-level gaming processor. It improves gaming performance in 2D games. Performance should be adequate on this phone as long as you don’t have too many background apps running. To be honest, the Spark 7P performed better. It’s strange why Tecno toned it down a notch here. In terms of software, the Spark 8P comes with Android 11 and HIOS 7.6. Pre-installed up to the point of still being present, but not including as it used to be.

Battery

One of the highlights of this device, the Tecno Spark 8P, has to be the long-lasting Li-Po 5000 mAh non-removable battery. It is dependable and decent. This one can easily last more than a day. To be Frank batteries on an issue on here, if you’re an average user. The only problem is filling it up when you finally get around to draining it. Because it does not come with a fast charger, expect it to charge completely in 2-3 hours.
