Display

The Tecno Phantom X has a curved display, which is a pleasant surprise. It is curved on the edges, which adds to its beauty to behold and hold. It has a visible cut-out notch in the upper right corner. It stands out because it houses a dual selfie camera. Furthermore, this is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 1080p. It doesn’t get any better than this. Except if it’s a 90Hz panel or something.

Even though the display is curved, the bezels are extremely thin. That punch hole is extremely noticeable. It may take some getting used to, but that’s fine. This screen provides an excellent viewing experience, with plenty of sharpness and, of course, contrast. Then there’s the dependable under-display fingerprint reader for waking up the phone.

Camera

The Tecno Phantom X has three rear cameras: 50 MP, 13 MP, and 8 MP. The photos in the main are 12.5 megapixels. And the quality is not bad either. Sharpness is adequate for the price, and the dynamic range is reasonably broad. It’s refreshing to see a telephoto camera at this price point. And the zoom shots are good. After the sunset, the 50 MP, f/1.9, (wide) performed much better than during the day. There’s some image stacking going on here even in auto mode.

They have adequate sharpness and a good dynamic range. The colors are also vibrant. The ultra-wide camera’s 8-megapixel photos are stunning. They have a limited dynamic range and are soft. Fortunately, the distortion correction works well. Because it has autofocus, the ultra-wide can also shoot close-up macro photos. The level of detail is higher than that of competitors, who should use dedicated lower resolution macro cameras.

Battery

The Tecno Phantom X is powered by a 4700 mAh battery. It will undoubtedly last all day. It comes with fast charging 33W, which charges this phone from 0 to 70% in 30 minutes, as advertised.
