Display

Even the mid-range Samsung smartphones have some of the best displays available on any phone. Did you know that Samsung manufactures displays for the Apple iPhone? But, put that aside. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition features a magnificent, brilliant 6.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It has a 101.0 cm2 screen-to-body ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of approximately 84.8%. Of course, the Always-on display is present. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels, and the PPI density is 407, which some may argue is on the low side. The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has an excellent display, but the screen and specifications of the Galaxy S20 Ultra are also impressive.

Camera

Two of the three rear-facing cameras used by the Galaxy S20 FE are identical to those found on the standard Galaxy S20. The main camera on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is an optically stabilized 12 megapixel f/1.8 sensor. The second lens that resembles the standard s20’s is that 12 MP, f/2.2, 123, 13mm ultrawide lens that lacks Super Steady video this time. The most noticeable difference is the Super Steady video. We also see an 8 MP, f/2.0, 73mm (telephoto), 1/4.5′′, 1.0m, PDAF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom.

Some of the other differences are that video recording on the Galaxy S20 FE is limited to 4K, 1080p, and gyro-EIS as opposed to 8K@24fps on the standard version. It’s not a deal breaker because the same thing (that is, 8K video recording) wasn’t met with much enthusiasm in the first place. The front-facing camera is a boosted 32 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide), 1/2.74′′, 0.8m, AF lens capable of 4K, 1080p videos. Here, there is no Dual video call of Auto-HDR, only HDR.
