Display

One disadvantage of purchasing the Samsung Galaxy M23 5G is that it has a TFT screen rather than an AMOLED display. It still appears reasonably bright in all directions, but you don’t get the same punchy colors. There isn’t the same level of contrast. You also don’t get an always-on display because it isn’t an OLED.

Still, at 1080 x 2408 pixels, this 6.6-inch panel is adequate. The FHD resolution keeps everything sharp. And, no, this is not a 90-Hz display. Simply put, if you don’t mind a 6.6-inch TFT display with 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio (400 PPI density), look no further than the Galaxy M23 5G.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy M23 5G smartphone now looks fantastic in Deep Green or Light Blue. It’s nice to see some of Samsung’s design cues making their way down to the lower-end models. Just have our very simple triple lens setup here. The back has a matte plastic finish.

There is also plastic on the sides. A headphone jack is located on the bottom of the device. I’d like to see that, as well as the mic. You have a type C port capable of 25W fast charging. There is also a single speaker on the right side. The volume rockers are at the top. One of our favorites is the side-mounted fingerprint sensor. And there’s another mic on top.

Camera

When you turn the Samsung Galaxy M23 5G smartphone around, the camera module on the back is visible. A 50 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), PDAF lens, an 8 MP, f/2.2, (ultrawide), 1/4′′, 1.12m lens, and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth) lens are all included. But, pun intended, the main focus here is on that main sensor.

With 50 megapixels, you can expect detailed images. In terms of video, this phone can shoot at 1080p@30fps. It has an 8 MP, f/2.2 (wide) selfie camera that takes decent photos. Video calls and other similar applications would be the best use case for this selfie camera. Finally, some of the camera features of the Galaxy M23 5G include LED flash, panorama, and HDR.

Battery

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy M23 5G includes a large 5,000 mAh battery. Its performance is best described as the power that keeps you going all day. But, seriously, isn’t 5000 mAh quite generous? We discover that it is. Should you begin running low, plug in, and charge with 25W Fast Charging? There is a 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector here. With the Samsung Galaxy M23 5G, you also get NFC, 5.0, A2DP, and LE.
