Camera
The cameras on the Samsung Galaxy A12 are arguably among the best this phone has to offer. That main 48 MP, f/2.0 (wide) AF is undeniably impressive. Along with it is a 5 MP, f/2.2, 115 (ultrawide) lens, a 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro), and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (telephoto) lens (depth). To be honest, a 4K video recording would have been ideal in this situation. Unfortunately, video recording quality on both the main and front-facing cameras is limited to 1080p@30fps. You can also experiment with features like LED flash, panorama, and HDR.
Display
Focusing on the display of the Samsung Galaxy A12, it has a large and bright 6.5-inch TFT display panel. TFT is a type of LCD flat panel display screen in which one to four transistors control each pixel. TFT technology has the highest resolution of any flat-panel technology, but it is also the most expensive.
Battery
The Samsung Galaxy A12 comes with a 5,000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. This one has a 15W fast charging capability. This massive battery capacity should last for an entire day, if not two, before needing to be recharged.
Operating system
Yes, in case you were wondering, the Galaxy A12 runs the Android 10 operating system. Samsung did mention (though not specifically with this phone) that its phone will now receive up to three years of major updates. So, can we expect Android 11? And 12? We’ll have to wait and see. The onboard processor is a Mediatek Helio P35 CPU. Storage options for the Samsung Galaxy A12 include 32GB with 3GB RAM, 64GB with 4GB RAM, and 128GB with 6GB RAM. I believe the 128GB with 6GB RAM (eMMC 5.1) will be the most popular, and it is certainly the one worth strongly recommending.
