Memory and internal storage

The usual MediaTek Helio G35 processor is under the hood, with graphics from the Mali-G31. It has 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, and an excellent secondary storage option.

Battery 

Many budget smartphones in Kenya have large battery capacities, which is a significant advantage. Consider the Nokia C1, which appears to have a small 2500 mAh battery. However, the same can be used for up to two days. This is due to the phone’s low requirements and optimized performance.

This is also true here, and even more so. The Xiaomi 9C has a 5000 mAh battery. Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy M11. With 5000 mAh, you get the most out of any phone before needing to charge it again.

Camera 

The Xiaomi Redmi 9C, like the Samsung Galaxy A30s, has four cameras. Three on the back, one of which is the primary shooter, and one on the front, alias the selfie camera. The main camera is 13 MP, f/1.8 (wide), 5 MP, f/2.4 (macro), and 2 MP, f/2.4 (macro) (depth). I’m glad to see Xiaomi join the frenzy of adding more (necessary) lenses. Check out the Redmi 9A, which has a single camera module (13 MP) and is an alternative to the 9C. Then there’s that 5 MP selfie shooter, which is, at best, adequate. Either camera can record video at 1080p@30fps.
