Design and Display
The Realme Narzo 50A’s back side is made of matte polycarbonate with a diagonal stripe. The back also has a large rectangle that houses the camera, which is located in the top left corner. The fingerprint scanner is combined with the camera module at the back, which increases the device’s size. The power button and volume rocker are located on the device’s right side. Overall, the design is quite robust and strong. The only drawback is a slightly spongy volume rocker button. The phone weighs 207 g and measures 164.5 x 75.9 x 9.6 mm in dimensions.
Camera
The Realme Narzo 50A’s native camera app has a good number of features that allow you to explore the camera’s unknown possibilities. The triple camera setup produces stunning images. However, most of this would be possible with the 50 MP primary snapper. Furthermore, the colors and saturation effects exactly match the AI software.
With the primary lens, you can quickly capture 1080p video with time-lapse and slow motion effects. However, at this price point, there is no room for optical image stabilization or gyro-EIS, so video output will be choppy. The camera island, located in the secondary section of the camera, houses a pair of 2MP macro and depth perception lenses.
Performance
The Narzo 50A’s MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) processor runs Realme UI 2.0, which is based on Android 11. The MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) is an excellent processor. Games and apps run smoothly, but with minor hiccups that are manageable.
The front camera is an 8MP selfie port that can also record videos in 1080p resolution. Although low-light photography can be effective, daylight photography can provide the proper exposure. Overall, the significant upgrade in the primary lens setting can result in higher-quality photos when compared to the Narzo 30A. However, the AI software’s dull rendering remains unchanged.
Battery
The 6,000mAh battery is unbeatable. It has more features than many smartphones. When gaming, watching movies, or scrolling through social media, aim for about 10 hours of screen time. Depending on how you use it, this phone can easily last two days. The LCD display and chipset also help to keep power consumption in check, so don’t expect too much from the battery.
